Today was officially my last day at FedEx for an undetermined amount of time, 6 months at the minimum. There is the chance that I could go back to FedEx after traveling around for 6 months as a Camera Operator, which is my new chapter that I am starting.
From January through June I will be traveling as a Camera/Stream Operator for a Youth Dance competition that travels across the United States. This means I get to travel across the United States working 4 – 5 days a week, long hours, great pay, and the best part is hopefully a great experience to grow, and network with others.
I’ve already had the great opportunity to network with some of the people I will be working with through a group video conference call. Everyone seems to be pretty good people, though I was stone tired when a part of the call because of having worked long early hours before.
I am excited to get back to a semi regular sleep schedule where I don’t have to get up at 2:30am every morning in order to just barely make it to work on time. I am truly hoping that most times for getting up will be somewhere between 5 and 6am, and that bed times will be 10pm at the latest. Working in the entertainment industry those times are never rock solid and will always be changing, unless your part of a union, which I have no desire to be a part of at any time, ever, in any way.
So, today I start A New Chapter, a new adventure, a new experience, a new opportunity, a new hope (because Star Wars). I pray that God will guide me the entire way through this experience and open up the opportunity to go from this one, to another in order to maintain working in media, and having some flexibility and freedom.
Until next time, signing off!
P.S. My band has their first show of the year tomorrow night!!! Super exciting!!!
